Need to see a doctor as soon as possible, but your doctor's office isn't open or you'll have to wait days or a week to see him or her? Don't want to go to the hospital unless it is absolutely necessary? An Urgent Care office may be just what you need.

With so many of our friends and neighbors getting sick at the most inopportune and inconvenient times, here are the locations and hours of the Urgent Care offices in our area. This information is from the VHA & POA newsletters.

411 facilities accept most insurance & Medicaid (Freedom & United HealthCare).

It is patient's responsibility if facility is In-network, to get authorizations, referrals & case numbers to cover their services.

Self-pay cost is $90, plus labs or other services.

If start as self-pay, cannot switch over to insurance.

 
If re-treated for SAME condition w/in 15 days, no charge except for labs & other services.

    Treats minor, non-life threatening conditions & conditions treated by a family doctor.

    Emergency care team, including board-certified emergency medicine doctors & nurses.
    Advanced life support, intensive care, cardiology, anesthesia.
    Primary Stroke Center, ability to administer clot-busting drug (tPA) w/in 3-hour onset of symptoms.
     
  • Ocala Health, Summerfield ER

    Freestanding ER, everything needed for acute care of a serious illness or injury.
    Comprehensive emergency services also available at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
    Onsite labs and diagnostic imaging, including CT scan, ultrasound & x-ray.
    Multidisciplinary team, including Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
