  • The Celtic Village Show Band will be performing at a benefit for Cornerstone Hospice THIS Monday, April 10th. Cornerstone Hospice has been serving the terminally ill elderly and their families here in The Villages since 1981.
     
  • The Abundance of Love charity group is having another fabulous Craft Sale Saturday, April 29th, to raise money for supplies so the they can continue their donations to local charities. Items available include knitted and crocheted blankets, baby sweater sets, gifts, pillows, mastectomy aids, and more. All hand-made, all at great prices! For this craft sale, they will also have a collection of Vermont Bear collectible toys that were donated to help the group continue its work. First come, first served... you won't find them any cheaper than here.

Lynnhaven Ladies

  • The Lynnhaven Ladies meet THIS Thursday, April 13th, at noon. We'll be learning a new game (at least for some of us) and playing the Swoop Card Game. There will also be free coffee and donuts complements of the club's bank. Don't forget to bring your nonperishable food contributions for those less fortunate than us for the Wildwood Food Pantry (click on link to see the items most needed).

  • The Florida Consumer eNewsletter for April is available.   • Closures & Re-openings current District Weekly Bulletin for other closures):
    • Fenney Trail Boardwalk observation deck is closed for maintenance until further notice.
    • Pelican executive golf course is closed for restoration and should be reopened in four weeks.
    • Churchill Greens executive golf course is closed for renovations until further notice.
    • Lake Sumter County Gazebo & Walkway was closed Friday, March 17th, for maintenance and will remain closed until further notice.
    • Palmetto executive golf course was closed Friday, March 24th, for maintenance and will be closed for several weeks.
    • Belmont executive golf course was closed Saturday, April 1st, until further notice for revitalization, reopening in the fall.
    • Multi-modal Path north of Belvedere Blvd. will be closed to repair irrigation system Wednesday, April 12th.
    • Please use the Laurel Manor & Rainey Trail tunnels to avoid the area.
    • Pimlico Recreation Center indoor & outdoor facilities & family pool will be closed for quarterly maintenance recovering Thursday, April 13th.
    • Knudson, Soaring Eagle, Saddlebrook, Buffalo Glen & Everglades softball complexes closed Sunday, April 16th — Sunday, April 30th.
