Airport Shuttle Service

		When our daughter, Kim, was here in May we used Village Airport Vans and it was great! Also, Jack Steenburgh used it. They only charge $35 one way and they bring you right to the door. They pick you up at the airport when your plane arrives and you don't have to wait as long as the regular Village shuttle service.	Ann Lewe
		When they started their service, they were on time, and picking you up and dropping you off at your house made it easier than having someone drop you off or picking you up at the Village Bus in Spanish Springs or Sumter Landing. But I recently took the van back from Orlando Airport and it was a terrible experience. They were an hour late picking me up after my plane landed (another passenger said she waited two hours before the van showed up). On the way back, the van stopped at the Plantation (out of the way by more than 1/2 hour). With a full load, it took 4 hours after my flight landed to get home. They are making a mistake by picking up people other than at The Villages, as it adds a considerable amount of time to the trip. I not only do not recommend them, I will never go with them again. In my case, it was because I don’t use the dishwasher enough and they just had to give the motor a "nudge". Total cost was $35. They are from Illinois and are trying to treat people fairly. 		I had a nonfunctioning dishwasher and someone gave me the name of Two Brothers. I called them and I highly recommend them. They were on time, professional, reasonable, and even gave me suggestions on how to use the dishwasher to its best advantage! Call Dale at 504-1149	I recently went to the Toyota body repair shop for a quote to fix a 1-inch dent I put on the door of my Avalon (a deep one). Their estimate was $423. I went to a nearby body shop that had the outward appearance of a junk yard. They matched the paint and did a fine job, and for only $100. 		We had our dryer vent cleaned out by Jeff Counsel the other day and were so impressed with how hard he worked and how fast my wash now dries (in just ¼ of the time). Bill said he took four bags of lint from the roof alone. He cleaned up my laundry room perfectly. I like the one worn around the neck, not the wrist device, so if you end up with only one arm working, you can still push it. Don’t tell yourself that you are healthy and don’t need it. They do all kinds of electrical work on cars besides batteries, custom wheels, and tires. This includes the computer in your charger, the computer in your cart, electrical switch malfunctions, signal lights, etc. I asked them to come over and install new batteries on my cart. They showed up with new Trojans, and after an examination of my batteries, they said I did not need new batteries. A lot of the ones contacted would not do the job for various reasons. When I talked to Larry Finney on the phone, he knew exactly what was needed and did a super job of repairing everything and closing up the hole, etc. He will provide free estimates and is very knowledgeable about almost everything. Hearing Center	Corrective Hearing Center Don Smith 352-751-6400	I want to recommend the Corrective Hearing Center in Southern Trace for hearing aids or testing. It is behind the Citizens Bank and the proprietor is Don Smith. I have hearing aids and the tubing broke on one, and the place where I got them went out of business. I went to 5 different hearing aid places. The first 3 wouldn't even take the time to help. The 4th said he could do it for $150. I said you have got to be kidding. Just tubing. Finally, I found Corrective Hearing Center. After finding a place that sells the parts, he sent away for it and charged me $22, their at-cost price. He also did a hearing calibration for nothing.
