April Putting Cup, Awards Dinner w/ Last Tyme Out

Lynnhaven Neighbors gathered at Arnold Palmer's Himalayas putting green at their appointed time on Tuesday, April 16th. Enough people signed up that there was both a 1:30 p.m. and a 2:30 p.m. putting cup, using cups 1 9. Participants were randomly paired in teams of four. They checked in with Ralph Helwig as they arrived and picked up their team's score sheet with the hole they were starting on marked. The weather was beautiful!

Those arriving a little early were able to get some putting practice in before the games began. Ralph Helwig checked the time, got everyone at their starting hole, then told them to begin. Janet Steenburgh surprised herself and delighted her teammates when she scored a hole-in-one right out of the gate.

When each team completed nine holes, they totaled their score and returned their score sheet to Ralph. Just in the first round, there were three holes-in-one and a lot of tied scores. Everyone went home to prepare for the evening Awards dinner at Laurel Manor.

As the first group was leaving, the next round of players started arriving, checking in, getting their score sheets, and getting some putting practice in. They were ready! Again, Ralph got each team in position at their starting hole and started the countdown for everyone to start. They're off!

All the score sheets were in and it was time for Ralph to get to work figuring out the event's winners.
