Tuesday, December 5th, Joan hosted a party at her home for all her bridge-playing buddies. It would be the last time they would get together until after the fist of the new year. Everyone brought something to contribute to the lunch, and Joan's elf helpers, Jeanne Fiore and Sue Jacobs, helped her decorate. Everything was so festive! Each seat had a party favor from Joan... a card done by a local artist depicting a scene from around The Villages and Sumter Landing.

As always, people congregated in the kitchen. And of course, everyone wanted to catch up with friend's plans for the holidays.

After everyone had arrived, it was time to eat. Everyone overate... everything was so good. After eating, it was time to honor the host and Ann Lewe wrote a special poem for Joan, and bridge buddies contributed to a gift for Joan.

The tables were cleared and set up for cards, everyone took a seat at one of the tables, and all enjoyed an afternoon of playing bridge. A fun time was had by all!
