Frank Ferraro Turns 90

Nancy & Dudley Dye hosted a 90th Birthday Party on Saturday, May 25th, for their neighbor Frank Ferraro. Balloons, banners, and cards marked the milestone. Many of their neighbors were up north for the summer, but sent good wishes. Frank likes spicy dishes so everyone brought dishes that were a bit spicy, but not too spicy so everyone could enjoy them. Frank & Anne were already at the Dye's when people started arriving around 6:00 p.m.  Dudley welcomed everyone and Nancy arranged everyone's contribution to dinner on the bar.

Frank was wearing his crown and we wished him a Happy Birthday. Everyone milled around the kitchen and bar and some of the guys headed to the sun room with their drinks until the word was given that dinner was served. In addition to Frank & Anne, Dudley & Nancy, other neighbors included Bob & Melinda Dodds, Donna Grillo, Ron & Barb Kalmin, Mary Kay Reis, Dennis & Nellie Sauer, Bart & Isabel Sjogren, and Phil & Rosa Wilt.

After everyone was full, Nancy made room for the birthday cake. Frank was called in and everyone crowded around as the candle was lit. Anne didn't want a bonfire and it would have taken a really long time to light 90 candles, so she just had one (LOL). Frank blew out the candle to applause, then Anne, Melinda and Nancy took over cutting the cake and serving it. This time all the guys headed for the sun room to enjoy their cake.

Before we knew it, it was time to go home. Nancy lined up our leftovers and we took them home after wishing Frank a Happy Birthday one more time.

Happy 90th Birthday, Frank!
