The Villages Hospital Emergency Room

Thanks to Carole Hannigan for passing this along.

The flu season is upon us and our Emergency Room is getting backed up. And even if you got a flu shot, you can still get it.

If you need medical attention and you see that there is a lengthy wait in the Emergency Room, please go to the Urgent Care Center in the East Campus*. Even better, go to the Urgent Care Center as soon as you need care. You will be given the same attention there and your wait will be much shorter. Their hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Another thing to consider:  Once you register in the Emergency Room, you cannot leave and go to Urgent Care.

Please relay this information to your friends and neighbors.

Here’s hoping that you don't come down with this awful flu bug!

Wayne W. Ward
Commander
CERT of The Villages

* Instead of going to the hospital's Urgent Care Center, use one of the Urgent Care Offices closer to home (click on link for their locations).
