The Lynnhaven WATD AED Program
(Wilson Way, Alcott Avenue, Tatum Terrace & Due West)

First Responder Volunteers Needed

Fred Heidemann announced that we had 97 AED (Automatic External Defibrillators) groups in the area. Fred periodically checks them to make sure they are functional and ready should an emergency arise. The WATD group needs volunteers to be trained in using one and being a first responder until EMS help arrives. If you can help, please contact Fred (click on link for his email address) at 352-391-4336.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our AED volunteer program has only two responders who will respond to a cardiac call out from Ready Alert via the The Villages Public Safety dispatch office.  As you know, our volunteer program has been in force since 2011, which covers the following areas:  Wilson Way, Alcott, Tatum, Due West (WATD) from Alcott to Wilson Way.

As soon as the coronavirus pandemic is over, we will have a full force of volunteers again. Please stay well.
