Proceeds benefit local charities.

Abundance of Love in The Villages started as Angel Snugs, knitting and crocheting snugs (soft caps and scarves) to help soothe pediatric cancer patients. Donating their time and talents, they shipped what they made to 87 hospitals in 33 states each month. But the ladies wanted to help more people locally and donate other types of items, so Angel Snugs of The Villages became Abundance of Love in 2020 and adopted a new logo, "Gifting comfort and care". They accept donations of yarn for making hats and scarves, prayer shawls, blankets, baby things, etc., as well as soft cotton and flannel for mastectomy pillows and drain aprons, fleece fabric for blankets and isolettes, etc. to donate to local charities. When donations are low, they have fund-raising events like this to buy materials, especially the specialty yarn for Knitted Knockers (soft, filled prostheses for breast cancer survivors).

I think you'll agree... it's for a very good cause.
